Music videos not playing

My Question or Issue

 

Music videos won't automatically play, and I don't have the toggle button to turn them on, other accounts on my family plan do display videos.

 

'Related videos' do appear and I can click on them to play, but if I search a track, it won't give me the option to play it as a video (this are tracks that have 'videos')

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community.

 

Can you try looking for the Canvas option under Settings > Playback? If it's not showing, it's possible that the feature isn't available for you just yet. Spotify is rolling out this feature and depending on your region it might take a bit to see it. I recommend keeping your app up-to-date to ensure you get the feature once it becomes available. You can also vote and subscribe to this idea to receive any updates on the topic.

 

If you do see the option, make sure to toggle it on, and set Data Saver to OFF. If the issue persists, try the troubleshooting below:

  • restart your device
  • log out and sign back in to your account twice in a row - this triggers an internal refresh of the app
  • perform a clean reinstall of Spotify
