My audiobook won’t play

I click on chapters and they won’t play, I have premium and more hours to listen to. I have deleted the app, shut my phone off, closed the app and logged out of my account. Nothing has helped. The book is called never lie by mcfadden

The same thing is happening to me! I’ve tried everything and the same book is not working. Chapter 5 will not play but other random chapters like 7 and 10 will. Hopefully we get an answer soon!

• The affected chapters 
• If they look any different visually in comparison to the chapters that do play (a screenshot would be useful here as well!)

I am trying to play chapter 5 and it will not play. The only chapters I’ve found so far that do work are 7 and 10. They don’t look any different visually but when you click on them, they try to play for maybe 3 seconds and then it shuts off as if nothing is playing and nothing is selected.

Thanks for your reply and the info.

We've checked on our end, but the chapter plays fine. Can you try again using a different device/the web player and if possible, a different internet connection? If you have a VPN installed on your device, please disable it.

Another thing you can try is putting the chapters in a playlist. If you're playing through a Bluetooth/Spotify Connect-enabled speaker, try playing directly on your device and vice versa.

If the issue persists, let us know the model, OS version and Spotify version of the affected devices.

This happens across the android app, or chrome web browser or firefox browser as well.
