Parental controls for canvas & lyrics

As a parent, it’s great that I can limit explicit content on my child’s account.  However, that feature does not impact what kind of canvas or lyrics show up. Yes, full lyrics show up for my child (no filtering what so ever).  Yes, it’s great that my child can’t listen to the bad words, but they can still read them. As a parent, I want the ability to control whether they see the lyrics (even filtered ones).

There is a certain age limit for a person to be able to create and own a Spotify account. This is described in our Terms and Conditions.

On the other hand, we have the Spotify Kids app (availability may vary depending on your region) with content specifically curated for our younger users.

The Kids app allows for some extended parental controls. Here is a video about how to access and manage them.
