Playlists not appearing in search

Playlists not appearing in search

I have noticed between myself and a few friends, some playlists even though they are set to public, do not appear in a search?

HAs anyone noticed this? I have noticed even some Spotify playlists dont appear in a search.

For example, can anyone would find these

Official Spotify list

Morning Coffee on the Terrace

spotify:user:spotify:playlist:33AfCjktElkPkFdapLdO1m

User list example

Soma Def Con Top 3o

spotify:user:beautifullychilled:playlist:2REWsnXJXsdXhrHS988GnK

Really weird this, anyone have any idea?

Hey @TokeyBear

Sorry for the late reply.

Spotify only indexes playlists to show in search if they have enough of a following. There are millions and probably billions of playlists on Spotify. If they were to show every single playlist with a certain title, it would be a bad experience for the user because they would have to scroll through lots of playlists with the same name.

According to the help article from Spotify:

After you publish a playlist, it should appear in search results in the next few days. If the playlist doesn’t appear, it might not be getting enough streams by users to rank yet.

There are a few ways to help make sure your playlists are available.

  • Share your playlists with your followers to encourage as many listens and followers as possible.
  • Add new tracks to your playlists frequently to keep your followers engaged.
  • Shorter titles and description text will make the playlist more relevant.

I know, I've seen that but it still does not appear.. I have done everything that the article says... What does "enough streams" mean?
