Recently played and listening activity

I noticed a friends recently played artists will glitch and update with 20 new artists but their listening history does not update at all. Why does this happen?

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

It's possible that your friend is using a Private session. If you want to pause your Listening Activity, you can start a Private Session, so it does not update. It might also be possible that they're using more than one device with Connect to control, and that's affecting their listening activity.

So! For this scenario, it'd be ideal if your friend could post here in the thread adding further info, so we can better understand this behavior. They can send us:

• The make/model and OS of the device(s) they use.
• The exact Spotify version they're running.
• A full description of this behavior.
• Does this start to happen after some specific event such as an OS update?
