Spotify Mood Mixes (Quiet Calming Instrumental Mix (Ex)) Not Working Anymore

My Question or Issue

When I go to look for a Spotify mix, such as Quiet Calming Instrumental Mix or Calm Instrumental Jazz Mix they show that “This content isn’t available right now”, but they were working earlier this morning at 6am (CST). Other mixes are still showing, such as “Oldies Slow Jazz Mix”, or “Ambient Mix”. Have a lot of these mixes been recently deleted by Spotify?

Every other couple of months, I see that one of my niche playlists keeps getting messed with. PLEASE stop this! I use those playlists quite a bit, and it can become quite annoying when it's tampered with.

I love the niche playlist feature from spotify, but they have just disappeared? does anyone else have this issue or did they get rid of those playlists :((

Update: A lot more playlists besides those two aren’t working any longer. (Just Spotify mood mixes.)

I have the exact same issue with drum and bass mixes, I can still see them at the start of the app and then they disappear...

If I quickly click on it, it says the content is no longer available..

I am really disappointed, it helped me discover so many good song of a genre I love to listen to...

Just got off the chat with Spotify support and apparently they’re getting rid of them for real. Very sad 😭

I spoke to Spotify support and they’re unfortunately being removed as a feature. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

That's because people in the other thread were complaining that they gave you the same songs over and over. But I didn't mind them! I know they could get repetitive, but I loved to see what was concocted using the algorithm. If I wanted different music to show up, I would listen to different songs on my own time just to see it show up there. I don't know why people didn't like it. 🥺

When it was too repetitive, or not what I liked, I just skipped and assumed the algorithm would have known and adapt

Huge bummer. You would think Spotify would just improve the algorithm instead of removing the feature altogether. The special thing about the mixes were that you can auto generate playlists tailored to you for a very specific mood.

On May 31, Spotify removed the Spotify Mixes feature which gave us access to thousands of different algorithmically made playlists personalized to us based on specific moods. IE: Coding Mix, Running Mix, Driving Mix, etc.

This was a feature many of us loved and set Spotify apart from the other platforms. Please bring it back!

I also spoke with support, and am too saddened about this. They did inform me that this is kind of a test thing they do to see if people like it or are okay with it, and that the feature does have a possibility of coming back. So I'm holding onto that little possibility.

I really hope because of our responses that they end up keeping the mixes!!! Honestly, I like the repetition and how it slowly adds new songs. It helps me find a lot of new music in categories I like. Thank you guys!
