The "Artist" UltraRock uploaded digital recreations of other artists.

The "Artist" UltraRock uploaded digital recreations of other artists.

There is an "Artist" listed on spotify with over 22k monthly listeners, with their most played song sitting at 1.3M streams. They are clearly big enough because their song showed up on my Daily Mix.

This "Artist" is UltraRock https://open.spotify.com/artist/0iKTLbVqtqBfBcGfC3qLOY?si=sQo6rDbnR-uWCJBWegP9XQ

The "Song" with 1.3M streams is clearly a digital recreation of Tool's "Forty Six & 2". In fact they even refer to the original song in the song title. https://open.spotify.com/track/3GVFqgx0rjNzcSktMubpdM?si=tt3MGl19R5ijAljsDOGM3g

That song is off of a whole album of Tool Rip Offs. While these were uploaded back when Tool wasn't on Spotify, the fact that this artist may be getting paid for this auditory trash they are uploading is disgusting. It's lazy and clearly illegal for them to make a cent off this. I wouldn't presume they had the intention of making money, perhaps they see themselves as some sort of musical "RobinHood" freeing music from their record labels... EXCEPT THEY ARE SELLING THIS TRASH ON AMAZON MUSIC. https://www.amazon.com/Tool-Box-Ultra-Rock/dp/B016E5NA92

Spotify, PLEASE, ban this. If it's big enough to show up on my Daily Mix, it's big enough to show up on someone elses

I'm personally a bit salty the fact that I streamed them because of my daily mix, and that that might lead to them even getting a fraction of a cent.

Hi @Hez_v1  and thanks for posting! 🙂

There's an article Spotify has posted here just for reporting these sorts of concerns.
I hope you find it useful and have a great day! 🙂
