My Question or Issue

I am trying to play the album at the link below. When I try and open it in the Spotify app I receive the message "The tracks on this release are not available." However, when I do a Google search and the album comes up and asks me to log in to the Spotify web player, I log in and still receive the above message. The tracks are not greyed out they just don't appear when I log in. I've contacted Spotify who confirmed this isn't a regional issue (i.e. it's not available in other countries either),. What I don't understand is all the band's other material is available on Spotify, only this one EP isn't which was released in 2010. I also can't find this EP in the band's discography. I'm really keen to listen to it as it has all my favourite live songs on it, can you advise?

Hey @richieh777

Thanks for your reply.

We're afraid there's no way to request any content to be added to Spotify, since as @Vasil mentioned above, the uploads depend on the artist/rights holders' decisions. For more info, take a look at this article.

Hey @richieh777,

Thanks for reaching out!

We doublechecked this album's availability and can confirm it's currently not uploaded to Spotify.
The uploads depend on the artist/ rights holders' decisions and there is no way to circumvent that. However, with this being said, it's also fully possible that the music you're looking for might get re-uploaded, so it's worth it to verify the availability from time to time.

In the meantime though, did you know that, in case you have local copies of these tracks, you can add them as local files?
This way you'd still be able to enjoy the songs being played through Spotify 🙂 You can learn more about how local files work by going through this FAQ article here.

Hope you'll find this info helpful! We're one post away in case any further questions arise 🙌🏼

Hi Vasil,

Thanks for getting back to me.

That makes sense regarding the album not being uploaded. I would love to play the EP as a local file if I had a copy of it but I can't find it anywhere to buy. Do you know if this EP was previously uploaded to Spotify and has been removed or if it's an upcoming release?

Thanks,

Hi @richieh777,

Thanks for the reply.

Since the release date is 2010 and the tracks are listed normally, it would seem that this was once available but was subsequently removed. I'm right there with you hoping that it gets added back in future.

Hope this clears things up.

Thanks Joan.

Is it possible for Spotify to raise a request with the artist/label to request this album is re-added to Spotify?
