Hey @crostine,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

We'd recommend that you log out > restart your device > log back in to see if that makes any difference.

It is also a good idea to clear cached files by following the steps here and make sure that the app has all the necessary permissions.

If you still experience this, we'd suggest performing a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on the affected device. It'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and fixes and will remove any corrupted files from previous installations.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes 🙂

I have restarted and reinstalled the app but it still doesn't let me complete the recaptcha. I honestly havent seen a recaptcha work in several years now so idk why this is still implemented its a dumb system that doesn't verify anything but my annoyance

Hey @crostine,

Thank you for the reply!

Have you tested if the same behaviour is observed when using a different internet connection?
There's a possibility this is a network issue so let's first confirm if this is the case.

We'll be on the lookout!

no on wifi at home or 5g mobile has same result, wifi at the office as well. it does not work at all, it just endlessly asks to mark motorcycles and pedestrian crossings until it doesn't show anything but noise pictures which are literally impossible to tell if anything is there or not so at that point i can only refresh the recaptcha which doesn't help either since it will just show the same trash images again

Hey @crostine,

We've tested this one our end and were able to complete the reCAPTCHA on the second try. Is it possible to try using a different mobile device and/or account?

Keep us posted.

oh i should add that posting this from my S21 does work and also requires a recaptcha.. so its 10000000% for sure the spotify app thats screwing this up

and perhaps it is an idea to trust a paying customers login session over an ai that determines if a user is a robot or not.. if you really cant trust the login status then there are hundreds of topics on this community pages that ask and beg for 2 factor authentication so maybe that is a solution for this verification

Hey @crostine,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.

We understand where you're coming from. It's possible that the reCAPTCHA issue could be related to the Samsung browser as some users have reported similar issues on the Samsung Community page. We'd recommend trying the troubleshooting mentioned there as well.

Also, could you check with a different browser to see if the issue persists? For more info on how to change your default browser, you can check out here.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.

i have chrome as default browser, but changing it to samsung browser but it gives the same results, empty captcha

I just changed my login to use google login but the result is still the same, the report thingy wants me to verify my email account before reporting and it just wont complete the recaptcha. so now i have a login that is verifiable through software and still the app refuses to let me report content

any news on this? im still unable to report content
