What is the Home Mix (provided for family plan members) based on?

What is the Home Mix (provided for family plan members) based on?

Members of a household have a Spotify-made playlist called: "Home mix"  which is a playlist which combines members of a household's music tastes together.  The playlist seems to be somewhat lopsided with our music choices.  Is there anything we can do to make sure all our music is represented in the playlist?

Hey @totallyarealdoc

It's the first time I hear about this Mix, but I can tell you that Spotify is often testing possible improvements and new features. This means you might see something on the app your friend doesn't, or get a brand new feature for only a temporary period.

Sounds like a cool feature though.

The Home Mix is absolute trash. I shared an account months ago with my sister who listened to nothing but pop country, so 80% of the playlist was Dierks Bentley and Florida Georgia Line ๐Ÿคฎ๐Ÿคฎ. Fast forward several months to today, and the mix is either still connected to what she listens to or it just won't update/repopulate with current choices.

Spotify has some draconian policy regarding being listeners avoiding music they don't want to listen to, ie. Not letting us block artists.
