Why can't I change my PRIVATE playlist back to PUBLIC?

Why can't I change my PRIVATE playlist back to PUBLIC?

When I make a playlist by default it is PUBLIC. When I want to make it PRIVATE I made do so. But if I choose to make it public again the 🔒 icon is changed, and it "says public". But on my main profile the playlist is nowhere to be found. Is anyone else having this problem? My way around it has been just making a copy and keeping it PUBLIC.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!

 

If you've made a playlist private, and then made it public again, you'll need to select "Add to profile" via the playlist's three-dots menu in order for the playlist to re-appear on your Spotify profile.

 

Bear in mind that this is the case even if you've enabled the option "Publish my new playlists on my profile" in Settings, under Social.
