Why did my community rank decrease?

Solved!

Why did my community rank decrease?

I was Music Fan last year and now I'm Casual Listener.

Admittedly, I haven't been the most active participant, which may be the obvious answer, but are there metrics for a demotion?

Hey @DaytimeDisco

There were changes made in Community user ranks. I believe some got removed and other ranks were given a wider post count range (eg you are X until you post 5 replies, then you become Y). Many users got a  lower rank as a result of the changes. Post count wasn't affected.

I don't know the exact ranks and their ranges. But they are not critically important, more like just some nice additions to the forum. 🙂

Hope this helps!

Now I don’t know the 100% right answer but if i had to take a stab at it, i would say its because of your inactivice.

Hey @DaytimeDisco. You can find our updated rank list here: Community Ranks - How do they work?

Thanks, Meredith!  I saw that, but last Sunday I received notification that I had achieved the status of "Casual Listener" even though my profile says I'm ranked as Songwriter despite the fact that I have done very little of any of these things:

- posting and replying

- adding helpful tags to your and others' posts and ideas

- giving and receiving "Likes" on helpful posts and good ideas

- posting ideas in the Idea Exchange

- being a nice person (OK, I did this one)
