Why is my recommended this? seriously....

I love opening up my spotify and listening to the normal. Maybe a little post malone, kevin gates, and etc. I would never have suspected to be recommended on my home screen for it to say "Can I get more thrills?" and recommend multiple podcasts such as "Finding the G-spot" or "Cucking, Bulls & **bleep** clubs." The best part is neither of them is explicit and I have no option to remove them. I listen to Spotify for music not to be groomed by this. Also because spotify decided the 2 podcasts arent explicit then I am positive they will be ok with the picture and titles in this community post.b81b930eb5253d4370f202e1bc1544f7.png

Hi there @sav0000,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

Sometimes you can see podcast recommendations even if you don't regularly listen to podcasts. Even though it's not possible to remove them from your Home screen, they should disappear after some time. In the meantime, keep listening to your favorite artists and playlists to keep receiving recommendations that better adapt to your taste and listening habits.

We also invite you to add your +Vote to this idea about being able to customize your Home screen. You can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.

Hope you find this info useful. If you need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Cheers 🙂

this happened to me also and it is super annoying.  I dont want that **bleep** on my spotify account

I had the exact same content pop up today for me and was sharing it with others as a big miss by Spotify (which everyone agreed was a 'what the...' moment). Not even remotely related to anything I listen to, cannot be removed, and feels more like ad content in my otherwise Premium account. If you're going to recommend podcasts at least make them related to something else.

This showed up in my app today (May 15, 2023) with *the same exact episodes* as the original poster in 2021. This is not just a case of weird suggested rather explicit content - this is a bug or some sort of test code that is being accidentally inserted into people's home screens. Otherwise, it would not show the same outdated episodes.

Our kids use our app, and this issue needs to be resolved *quickly*.

This is a BS response. This should be randomly suggested content.

I saw the same exact 4 episodes up on my spotify this morning and wasted some time trying to figure out how to make it go away before coming across this thread. Tomorrow will be exactly 2 years after OP brought up this issue, and there still isn't a feature to edit my home page to not see stuff like this.
Providers don't listen to complaints if you continue paying for their service anyway. I'm strongly considering unsubscribing to this premium service that my wife and I pay for, because as mentioned in an earlier comment it just feels like ads and being directed to content that has absolutely nothing to do with our interests or listening history.
Figure it out Spotify, and quickly.

I just got these exact episodes today! I have spent a total of over 2 hours with customer service in which they tell me it HAS to be something I'm listening too. I'm an SA survivor and these podcasts are extremely triggering to me. I would never willingly listen to anything that would make these come up. Considering we're all getting the same episodes with the same title, someone at Spotify is lying about how this gets pushed to people's home pages and I'm so disappointed in this company right now.

This exact same content showed up on my home page as well a few days ago. The funny this is that it only shows up on the app, but not when I am logged in on my computer. I'm sure posting in this community is helping resolve the issue if it hasn't changed in two years. There has to be a solution to this issue as no one seems to listen to any sort of "suggested material" to warrant this. How long did it stay on your home screen?
