This album was released in 1999 not 2009.

The independent label that released it for us years ago doesn't seem to have access to request the date be updated.

I understand your concern regarding the release date of the album in question on Spotify. It's important to clarify that album information, including the release date, is provided by music aggregators that make them available on streaming platforms.

In your case, since the album was released in 1999 and not in 2009, it's necessary to make a correction to the release date to reflect the accurate information. However, this change needs to be carried out by the aggregator that originally submitted the album to the streaming platforms, including Spotify.

If the record label that represented the album at the time is unable to make the necessary changes, the recommendation is to directly contact the aggregator responsible for sending the album to the streaming platforms. They should have the capability to make this correction in the system and ensure that the release information is updated in accordance with the correct data.

It's important to remember that streaming platforms like Spotify rely on information provided by aggregators to update and display album details accurately. Therefore, when reaching out to the aggregator, make sure to provide all the necessary information so they can carry out the correction appropriately and update the album's release date to the correct year, which is 1999.
