[iOS][Playlists] Release Radar Improved Logic/Suggestions

[iOS][Playlists] Release Radar Improved Logic/Suggestions

This idea should really be for all platforms. Why does release radar put foreign music as suggestions or rave music when I have most certainly never put anything of the sort on my playlists. I am asking Spotify to either either improve their suggestion logic or adding an option to exclusively provide suggestions based off of a certain playlist of mine where I have amassed 600 songs I can play on repeat all day.

Hey there @Kmg8043

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

We moved your post from the Ideas board to the relevant Help board, where it fits better.

We're sorry to hear that you've been receiving recommendations you didn't enjoy in the Release Radar playlist. No worries, the more you listen, the better recommendations you'll get.

In this case, we suggest that you select the songs that you don't like choosing the "Hide this song" option. Likewise, you can Like the songs you do like by clicking on the heart icon. This will help the playlist to be updated so it can include more personalized results. You can take a look at this article for more info about this.

On another note, you can mute an artist so it won't be played again. From the mobile app, head to the artist's page, tap on the 3 dot menu and select "Don't play this". This will affect all your devices.

Take into account that the Don't play this feature only prevents the songs by the blocked artist from being played. They might still show up on playlists and even in your recommendations, but the songs should be skipped. Currently, there's no way to visually "hide" the songs by the artist.

Regarding your suggest about generating a playlist based on one playlist, we'd recommend you trying the Radio feature.

Hope this helps. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.

@eni no. This doesn't work for me. I've liked over 1000 songs and have hidden way more then 1000 songs. This is a BS response. I should be able to to for playlists like Release Radar and Discovery Weekly be able to drive the entire list based off of a playlist. I should be able to attach a playlist to certain items like Release Radar and Discover Weekly to reinforce suggestions within what I like
