"Popular" tracks still showing old artist's music

"Popular" tracks still showing old artist's music

I recently bothered to gain access to my artist page through S4A and have gone through the process of removing all of the old music from the other artist with the same name but, while their tracks are no longer showing in my discography, they're still showing up under the "Popular" sections. Is this a caching thing and/or something that will resolve itself, or will I have to wait for my own songs to become more "popular" than the other band's?

I understand your concern. When you removed the old songs from the other artist with the same name from your artist page on Spotify for Artists (S4A), it may take some time for the "Popular" sections to be updated. This is because Spotify uses a caching system to store information about songs and artists, and it may take some time for this data to be updated across all sections of the platform.

However, you can expedite this process by reaching out directly to Spotify for Artists support. They can help resolve the issue and ensure that only your own songs appear in the relevant sections. It's recommended to provide specific details such as the titles of the old songs that are still appearing in the "Popular" sections, so that the support team can act more effectively.

Please note that the update process may take some time, but by contacting Spotify support, you are taking steps to address the issue and ensure that your discography is displayed correctly on your artist page.
