random song appear on my top song

random song appear on my top song

When i open my profile on desktop, i see some song that i didn't even listen to appear on my top song. First i thought i got hacked and so i changed my password, but after a while it keep appearing and keep going up till top 3. the song was "Passoa", "Vou de 99 Pop", and "Banho". Is there any way to remove these songs from my top song?

Hey! Welcome to the Spotify Community, it's a pleasure to have you here.

I recommend that you follow some guidelines:

  • Clear Recent Listening History:

    • Open the Spotify app (desktop or mobile).
    • Go to your Library > Recently Played.
    • If you see these songs in your recent plays, you can remove them from the list by hovering over them (desktop) or using the three-dot menu (mobile) and selecting Remove from Recent.
  • Remove the Songs from Your Top Tracks (Manually):

    • Go to your Profile and open the Top Tracks playlist.
    • Unfortunately, you can’t directly remove individual songs from this playlist, but Spotify will eventually update your top tracks based on your listening habits. As you listen to other songs, these tracks should eventually be pushed down or replaced.
  • Recalculate Your Top Songs:

    • Spotify updates your top tracks over time based on your listening behavior. If you want to speed up the process, you can listen to your favorite tracks repeatedly to push the unwanted songs down.
    • Alternatively, you could also try playing a mix of songs that reflect your true preferences, and after a while, your top tracks will update accordingly.
