My Question or Issue
debian run client not detected by ios therefore cannot remote control computer with iphone, used to work fine, tried snap version and ppa version same problem
I've noticed the same. Same issue on Ubuntu and Debian Linux. I'm using Ubuntu virtual machine to stream music from my phone, so this was really frustrating. So far I workaround it by uninstalling SNAP version and installing older DEB package 1.2.37.701:

@intera_91: Can you confirm that installing an older version of the Spotify app works around the problem?
If you guys are happy to share your Spotify usernames (if that's allowed on this forum) with me (PM fine), I can look into any problems I can find on my end.

Either way: I've found an error related to this version of Spotify for Linux. It has now been rolled back fully and the 1.2.46.290 version should work fine with Spotify Connect again.

I still can't login from command line with Spotify version 1.2.42.290.g242057a2
On Linux Mint 21.3 (based on Ubuntu Jammy)
I can't update to 1.2.46 with deb http://repository.spotify.com stable non-free
Is it expected ?
I believe 1.2.46 is a typo, as the latest release is 1.2.42.290 (I didn't even reflect on it above). My notes above are strictly regarding Spotify Connect, for which the rollout has ended and any functionality should be back to normal. Suggest opening a new thread on login issues, as it's not related to Spotify Connect in this regard.
I'm having problems since version 1.2.45.454: When starting, it uses 100% cpu and never shows the UI, but with spotify connect I can remote control it. Also, deleting $HOME/.config/spotify/ makes it work for a single start. Afterwards, it is broken again.
My credentials work in the app (with redirection to spotify website), but don't work on the commandline
spotify --version
Spotify version 1.2.50.335.g5e2860a8, Copyright (c) 2024, Spotify Ltd
spotify --username=mixmat-at-example.com --password='my_password' --mu=mixmat --show-console
