Debian Linux Spotify won't login

Debian Linux Spotify won't login

I've installed the latest version of the Spotify client on my Debian laptop using Synaptic manager, but when I try to login nothing happens, and the content just appears a bit obscured, like if it was loading, but it doesn't acutally work, and it remains on this same page forever, trying to log in, I assume. I'm connected to the internet, the password and the email are correct (I've tried with the account name, too) I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times, but when I try to login it's always the same. I can still click on the Sign Up, Reset Password and Settings buttons, and they work, but when I go back to the sign in page it's the same thing as before.

Sorry if my English is bad, it's not my native language, and thanks in advantage if someone answers 🙂

I attach a screenshot of the loading login page (personal information obscured)

I was able to fix this by using a device password instead (see https://www.spotify.com/nl/account/set-device-password/) .. I also removed the synaptic package and installed the snap package instead (see https://snapcraft.io .. after install snap do: snap install spotify)

Hope this helps!

I tried to set the device password, but it says it can't be set. All necessary conditions (upper case, lower case, digit , special) are green. Also the lenght is at least 10 characters. I also tried exactly 10 characters.

Any idea?
