Favourite, Like or Star a song?

Favourite, Like or Star a song?

Hi all,

I have tried to do some forum searching but all the topics I come across are from 2014, so, here goes;

Very. very new to Spotify migrating over from Google Music where you could 'thump up' specific songs you like a feature that appears to be missing from Spotify.

From my understanding you can 'Save' it, but there's no visible way to know which songs you have 'Liked' while quickly looking at an album. It certainly would be nice to be able to open up an album and see which songs are your favourites instantly via an icon.

Sorry if this is just rambling.

Not rambling! Its now March 2017 and Ive not seen anything user-friendly which explains what it all means. Have you had any further clarification on the differences between the like/start/ add-to stuff, and how they can be used..?

Examples:

In Apple Music, you can “Love” a song and then create a smart folder to absorb

or

On YouTube, thumbs up/liking a video results in it being added to a personal playlist called “Liked Videos”.

Spotify used to include a feature that accomplished this called “Starred” songs, and which went away in 2014, the year that comment was posted. I would assume (and correct me if I’m wrong) that this was likely a new user who was looking for a recently removed feature. There is a near perfect description of this feature on this other thread.
