How do I stop Spotify from opening upon startup?

How do I stop Spotify from opening upon startup?

I used Spotify the other day for the first time in several months. Now when I start up my computer, Spotify automatically opens. I've tried removing the icon from my dock, but can't. I've gone into users & groups from system preferences & unchecked Spotify under Login items. I've gone into Spotify settings & changed it to No where it says open Spotify automatically on startup. Still every morning, it opens & the open Spotify on startup is back on Yes. I've tried logging out. Nothing works.

Please help me figure out how to keep Spotify from opening when I turn on my computer!

Running High Sierra 10.13.4

Hi @disneycats,

Open the spotify app

Press on your name (right upper corner)

Settings

Scroll down

Advance settings

Scroll down to "start- and window functions" (or similar)

Change to "no" under "open spotify automatically when you've logged in on the computer"

Good luck 🙂

Thank you. Unfortunately, that doesn't work for me. I can change it to No, but the next morning Spotify opens again & it's back on Yes. Weird.
