I've been getting crackling/skips in my audio - can I fix it?

I've been getting crackling/skips in my audio - can I fix it?

This happens across all of my devices and only on Spotify, not on any other application or on the browser. I'm pretty confident that it is not a hardware issue and I have completed all troubleshooting steps. I play music for really long periods of time, and this only tends to happen when I've been playing music for a while. So is this an inevitable effect of playing my music for hours? Or can I fix it? This has been a long term issue persisting for over six months and it kinda sucks to be paying for a service and have quality issues like this.

When you say that this happens across all platforms, Web Player included, are you using the same playback device, like a Bluetooth speaker or another device via Connect? We'd also like to know how long it takes for the audio to go bad so that we can try to reproduce the issue on our ends.

 

Another thing worth looking into is if this occurs with a different internet connection like for example mobile data instead of Wi-Fi or even a different Wi-Fi network altogether. Lastly, if possible, take a look if any other Spotify account would show the same error. You can even follow one of your longer playlists through it so that you can listen to your own songs via the second account.
