Import local music?

I'm trying to imort a CD that I have which the music from is not available on spotify.  It shows up in local music, but if I try to play it or move it to my songs then I get a message saying something along the lines of "This track is not available.  If you have it on your computer you may import it."  PLEASE HELP

Welcome to the community! Have you tried importing it using WMP or iTunes, and then adding the source folder under preferences?

Hi!  Thanks.  It's already in iTunes, and shows up under Local Music in spotify, but if I try to play it then I get the "if you have it you can import it" message.  I'd like to get it into my spotify and available offline on my mobile for a VERY long plane flight.
