Tracks stop playing at or near the end

Hi I'm having some problems with the desktop app on my mac (OSX 10.7.5, Spotify 1.0.5.178).  Basically it seems to get to the end of a track and just stop playing, it keeps the play button as if it's still going, as in not actually pausing on purpose.  It doesn't happen every time but fairly often.  This happens in both online and offline mode, and both the repeat all and shuffle buttons are engaged.  It runs fine using a browser.  What I've noticed is that when I turn crossfade off it tends to stop right at the very end, but with crossfade on it stops a few seconds before, as if it's struggling to load the next track?  Sorry for the long description but hopefully it gives you an idea of what the problem is?  Included is a screenshot showing how it looks after it has stopped, note that it stops at that point at which it has stopped is when using crossfade, and that the play/pause button is in play mode.   Thanks in advance,  Jamie.
