Mac desktop playlist does not play correct songs

Solved!

Mac desktop playlist does not play correct songs

I have a playlist that consists of songs saved from within Spotify -no local tracks. I dont know what happened but I think in the last update now when I try to play songs by double clicking them it plays something else in my playlist. If I try and click the 'play' icon the same thing happens, it plays something else. I eventually just keep clicking the next song and the next song over until I hear the one I want. I tried disabling the shuffle featuring thinging maybe that was a part of it but it's the same result. Basically this makes playing a playlist super annoying.

Hello there and welcome to the community,

Try this and see if it works for you,

- Open Preferences -> Under "Display Options" set "Show unavailable tracks in playlists" to enabled.
- Open the playlist, sort by Name, scroll down until you have passed titles with number in their names. There you should see empty rows.
- Delete the empty rows.
- Now the playlist should work again.

I did all of this, however I didn't have any empty rows after songs with
numbers in them. On the flip side, they all now play correctly so I'm not
sure what happened.

Glad it works now. Enjoy it 🙂
