Mac desktop version won't play music

Solved!

Mac desktop version won't play music

In the last several days, my Mac desktop version has stopped playing music.  If I click to play a song, the song's album cover and the pause button will appear, but the indicator that shows the progress through the song does not move.  Skipping to the middle of the track does not help.  If I attempt to play a song on the desktop version, however, it will pause the music on my iPad, so it obviously thinks that it is playing through the desktop.  I have performed a fresh reinstall, and I am running the most current iOS.

Thanks

When you did the fresh reinstall, did you delete the cache as outlined in this post?

That appears to have worked.  Thanks!
