Moving tracks in a playlist is making a copy of the track instead of new or

I am trying to move a track in a playlist, but instead the app is adding a copy of the track. I am using the app on MacBook.

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sending us the exact Spotify version you are currently running in your computer?

On another note, and just to confirm, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event, such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.
 

Lastly, it'd be really helpful if you send us a video recording of what you kindly mentioned. You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.

I had the same issue, and it was because the playlist was in 'enhanced' mode. As soon as I switched that off I could drag and drop the tracks
