Hey Community! I have been using Spotify for a while and have had a premium account for all of my subscription time. Recently, I noticed that my play offline button has disappeared and I have no way of making selected playlists available offline. I don't know when this happened but it has been recent though. Can anyone help?
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
It sounds like you might be using the web/desktop preview client rather than the full desktop one.
Try downloading and installing from http://download.spotify.com/Spotify%20Installer.exe and that should get you back to the client you know and love.
Peter
I downloaded the link, but still no offline button. Is there a restriction against making playlists available offline depending on who they are created by?
Do you not have an "Available Offline" Slider at the top of each playlist? Also on the right click menu on the playlists in your sidebar. It shouldn't matter whose playlist it is. There doesn't seem to be offline sliders on the profile page anymore is that where you are looking?
Peter
No, I don't have a "Available Offline" slider on any playlists. I have also confirmed that my premium payments have been up to date and settled. Follow, start radio, and share are the only buttons on the top of the playlist. Also, right clicking the playlist title on top does not offer any different options as well.
Does it say "Spotify" or "Spotify Premium" at the very top of your client? It sounds like your account is not on premium.
What is your subscription status on your online overview too?
Peter
It does say "Spotify Premuim" at the top.
Are you sure you don't need to scroll left to see the slider on the playlist?
The Available Offline Slider is on the same row as the "Share" and "Radio" buttons but right aligned.
Peter
I too do not have the Available ofline slider. My cluient says at the top 'Spotify Unlimited'. I have been payong Premium for years.
Phil Grrr
You need a premium subscription to listen to spotify content offline. The differences between the three tiers are summarised in this chart and offline mode is not available with Unlimited which seems to be what you have.
This is so stupid.
I do have a premium account and it does not have the make available offline button at the top of the playlist.
You can right-click a playlist and choose to make it available offline there.

Hey I've seen one other report of this in the last 24 hours. Have you tried reinstalling spotify?
It was happening to a few of us that has Spotify premium.
I just checked again today and it seems to have come back again.
Hello.
I am a new member and have a Premium Account with Spotify.
Today I tried to download the song, but then I noticed that I don't have a Download Button.
I would be grateful if you could please help me.
Thank you for your kind attention to this matter, it is greatly appreciated!
