Hey @patriciaabby,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome. We moved your post from the previous thread to a new one to investigate further, hope you don't mind.

First, would you mind confirming if you have already performed a clean reinstall of the app? If not, we'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this article

We'd also recommend checking if the Offline mode is turned on. If so, turn it off and try again as this affects the network connection of the app.

Lastly,  include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

We'll be waiting for your response.

Hi yes i have performed a clean reinstallation of the app several times. i am also not on offline mode, the app seems to work fine on my iphone, however not on my macbook air M2, 2022. My OS version is 15.1.1, and I'm in a family membership plan.

Hey @patriciaabby,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info you included.

To continue investigating this behavior, could you confirm if using the Web Player instead of the desktop app makes any difference?

Also, since this could be related to the network connection too, we'd recommend trying with a different network connection to see if the issue persists. If you don't have another one, you can use a mobile data hotspot to test it.

Lastly, we'd suggest clearing any entries which contain Spotify from the host files on your Mac. To do so, you can follow the instructions mentioned in this post.

We'll be waiting for your next response.

Hello, there is no issue with the web player. however, the issue still remains after trying with a different network connection. and spotify is not listed anywhere on the host file.

Hey @patriciaabby,

Thanks for your reply.

Just to clarify, on which pages are you seeing this error message? (e.g. playlists, albums, search, Home, etc.)

Does the same thing happen when using a different account by a friend or a family member?

Keep us posted.

This error was shown on all pages wherever I clicked. Even the settings did not open.

It's working perfectly fine now! Thank you so so much, I really appreciate it!
