Someone else keeps playing tracks?

Someone else keeps playing tracks?

Hi everyone,

I'm asking this question for my boyfriend. He has a Spotify Premium account which he only uses on his Macbook and his phone with Android. He keeps having this problem in which he is just listening to some music and suddenly another song starts playing, or a playlist is added which he did not do, or he's suddenly following artists he never listens to... We've tried logging off on all other devices and changing the password (twice), but the problem keeps occurring. Spotify says he listens to the other songs via 'Redmi Note 2'. Google says it's a phone, but we don't know anyone with this kind of phone.
Please help because it's very annoying 😛 thanks!

Sanna

First, login to your account in the website

https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

Check your email address is correct (not been altered by someone else) and change the password to a more secure one.

Then, there is option to sign out from all devices in your account's main control panel (at the very bottom).

That should logout of everything, including other people's devices.

I just did bud

Hi osiornos, as I mentioned in the first post, we've tried all that and it doesn't work. The logging out from all devices doesn't keep Redmi Note 2 from having access to my bfs account..

Bennigjemble, that's exactly what it looks like indeed. Very annoying

@Sanna_

That's indeed very strange, as changing passwords inmediately logs out all devices connected.

Tell your boyfriend to  log out of the Spotify website (in his browser) and then use this contact form:

https://support.spotify.com/contact-spotify-anonymous/

It is a special contact form that allows you to select the email to which Spotify Support will reply.

They'll help you out. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
