Songs I listen to don't show up on followers' Friend Activities

Nobody that follows me can see what I'm listening to/have listened to in the sidebar. I've enabled "Publish my activity on Spotify," I'm not in a private session, I just can't figure it out! Any help would be appreciated!

(also i've scoured this forum as much as I can for help with this so sorry if I missed a thread or anything!)

Hi @sporeguya, are you able to confirm what device you are listening through when your friends are saying they can't see what you are listening to?

Perhaps also get them to try toggling the friend view under the View menu > Right sidebar to get it to force a refresh.

hi, thanks for the response! My friend view doesn't work on any device or platform (mobile app, desktop program, or website). 

I got a few different friends to refresh their sidebars, and that didn't work either. 

Also, I don't think I mentioned this in the main post, but I've been having this issue since I started using spotify (around 4 months ago when I bought premium)

Cheers @sporeguya, can you confirm if they are following you? If you're signed in via Facebook, make sure they're following your Facebook account. If you're signed in with a username/password, then make sure they can find your profile via search and follow you that way.

Hmmm ok. I'll escalate this up for you, can you please just confirm what devices you are using Spotify on, what operating systems and what versions of the app you are using?

Once I can get that, I'll see if the Spotify staff can assist!

I'm using the spotify application (1.0.60.492.gbb40dab8) on my windows laptop and the official spotify app (8.4.16.781 armV7) on my android phone.

Hi @sporeguya, are you able to confirm if your friends are seeing you at all in the friend feed? Is there a "previous song" that you are shown to have listened to?
