Spotify Mac (1.0.2) add itself to the startup regardless of settings

Even when I set the option Open Spotify to No the next time I start spotify it is changed to Minimized. Why isn't this setting honored?

If you are on Windows, try to get around Spotify's stupid forced rules with:

1. Open the Start menu prompt and enter "msconfig"
2. Go to the Startup tab
3. Untick any Spotify items.
4. Next time you restart, Spotify shouldn't start itself.

I'm on a Mac, but nevertheless I tried a similar approach. It works, but when you start Spotify, it adds itself back in the the startup list. Annoying as hell.
