Spotify (Mac) keeps STARTING by itself all the time (whilst "launch on startup" is DISABLED)

Spotify 0.8.5.1333 keeps launching by itself every time I "touch" my Mac OS X 10.8.2, for example after standby or when working on my Mac - haven't been able to figure out which program this might cause: working with browser (chrome), facebook and gmail opened, skype and iTunes running. 

The Autostart-Option within Spotify is disabled, also the auto-launch option in the task bar.

Anyone having the same issue? It's very annoying! Please let me decide when to use the program.

Spotify 1.0.70.388.g8e1ed5af for Mac don't respect the "Open Spotify automatically after you log into the computer" always switch back to minimized...

have you looked in the settings for the autostart options? If not can you try finding out what started spotify with activity monitor?

I was having the same issue and resolved it by doing the following:

System Preferences

Users & Groups

Click the lock to make changes

Select Current User

Select Login Items

Select Spotify from the 'These items will open automatically when you log in'

Hit the minus [-] to remove it from the list.

Log out and back in again.
