Hello,
Spotify won't load the social activity bar, friends profiles or artist pages (remain blank, with a find people tab on the SB). It's working other than that. Happened after I installed the update this morning. Tried loading a previous version, that will open artist pages, but not the social bar (and it updates itself pretty sharpish).
I'm a premium user on a mac running OS X 10.7.5
Any ideas?

Ok, same issue for me....
Activity feed on facebook had not receive any update (played songs) since 3 months,
tried almost every given possible solution (from deleting the app on fb to reinstalling the desktop client and mobile app)
strange fact:
after I've deleted the app on facebook, readding the app, the played songs section has been updated, now I see the activity feed from april 2014... so the data is there somewhere...
despite that: It's june 2014, and there is still nothing updating since april 2014.
Seems like this isn't a new issue, so I'm really wondering if there's any progress on this one?
I'm glad it's back, but the activity feed is not updating. It shows activities from months ago, which is not new at all...
Yesterday it was actively updating but the day after it is not working.
There's definitely something happening:
In the last week my activity log on facebook was updating, showing played tracks etc.... but then, the other minute the data was gone, and I was only able to see info about updated playlist etc, but no played track info.
And this went on for a few days, available / not available....
This error / bug / feature (?!) seems to affect a lot of users, any update on this?
I have the same issues.
On Windows 8.1 and iPhone/iPad. No activity or friends info coming through. I can click on my profile and anyone I'm following and they have no activity or recently played songs - even though I know they have played songs.
the social media bar is for me the most important tool in Spotify: Other than google & co it doesn't offer «more of the same». It opens my horizon, brings me new ideas and gets me off the beaten tracks. To bad it has disappeared!!!

I am not shure if this really was a «solution» - because it happened already several times before that the social bar vanished and - mirucalously - reapeared some hours or even a day later. Which made almoust unsubscribe my account. Fortunately I did't 😉

I have a Premium account on Spotify and for the past few months, I've been unable to view my social feature and the right-side pane that shows me what my friends are listening to at the moment. I've read this forum, uninstalled Spotify and reinstalled it, and I still cannot view the social activity pane. I have also written a note to Spotify Help, which assured a timely response, but am still waiting for my request to be acknowledged. Please let me know if there are any tips / tricks to get it back. Thanks!

I have not been able to see my activity feed for over a month. Is there a setting that I have to change in order to see it again? It's one of my favorite features and very frustrating that I can't see it.

Same thing is happening to me, the social bar just has a loading circle
Same issue here. The activity bar loads, but hasn´t been updated for a while. Very annoying. I run the Mac-version.

@Stang89 - Your best bet is to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form and see if they can work some magic on your account.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

As I type this, the activity feed is working in real time on version 0.8.3.222. A friend is showing as having play a track "0 minutes ago."
The feed itself has always been flaky in terms of updating. It will work for a while, then stop working for quite a long time before it begins to work again. AFAIK, real time reporting hasn't been supported in quite a few versions now.
I've looked all over the place for an answer and I keep coming up on 3 year old threads. My friend feed is not posting and does not publish what I am listening to either. I have redownloaded and reinstalled the app several times, even just logged out and logged in several times. I tried to clear the cache, but cannot seem to find where to do this after the app says "change location" under Cache in preferences. This is my main way of finding new music, and as a premium customer I am very annoyed. If I could just get a contact email or speak to someone directly, that would be great. I tried to contact the support email and it said they would respond to a very old email, in which I could not change.
Same issue here. Friend activity has not refreshed in 19h.
