Spotify opens randomly

while using the chrome browser Spotify opened behind the chrome screen on its own. This was NOT at start up.  It started with a smaller screen than usual. MacBook Pro using Mojave 10.14.6

Help please - what caused it

None of the below information is require, the more you provide the easier it will be for us to try and help.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for this post!

Can you try the following:

1. Open the Spotify app on your MacBook and go to Settings.
2. Go to Startup and Window behavior 
3. Select "No" on the option Open Spotify Automatically after you log into the computer.
4. Restart the Spotify app and your computer.

In case the above doesn't fix it - please share more details with us. Did you use the Spotify Web Player in the Chrome browser when this happened? Did the issue started after a specific update? The more info we have - the better. This way we can get a better understanding and advise you further.
