Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon)

Just now I've noticed there's a chance for a character to disappear a moment after typing it. For example while I was typing "classical reading" the "e" disappeared around the time I had just typed "d". I've been able to replicate it with a few other queries. It's always just one character disappearing soon after it was typed as far as I can tell.
I'm by no means a great typist, but I'm sure my fingers were nowhere near the backspace key any time I've seen it happen.

Hey folks,
This should now be fixed. Can you please update the app and check if all is good on your end?
Cheers,
Hi there @ozbonus,
Thanks for reaching out!
Can you go in the Spotify app on your Mac and click on Spotify in the menu in the top left corner, then on Hardware Acceleration? Make sure it's unticked and disabled. You may need to restart the app afterwards. Can you also test if any characters disappear when searching in the Web Player?
It'd be very useful if you can make a screen recording of the issue so that we can have a closer look at what's happening. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video.
We'll be on the lookout for your response.
I'm experiencing the same problem. I tried turning off hardware acceleration and restarting the app, but it didn’t help. I turned it back on, and that didn’t solve the issue either. How am I supposed to search for anything in Spotify when a simple search bar doesn't work?
For instance, I am trying to type DARK HORSE PODCAST and I end up with DARK HOR(bleep)
I wrote "bleep" since the word is rude, leaving only the letter "E." Essentially, the "S" would briefly show up, but the search bar would automatically delete the "S," leaving just the "E".
This issue also occurred when I first tried typing "Dire Straits," but it didn't happen the second time I attempted it. Typing speed might be a factor, though I'm not sure. Could "caching" the search term be influencing this? I'm unsure and believe this bug is serious, and it requires immediate investigation. Basically, I cannot search properly.

I attempted to make a short video when it occurred. The video link will expire on the 2nd Sept, so please download for your Dev Team asap.

I am using M2 Pro Mac Mini, with Logi wireless keyboard.
The first user above mentioned typing "classical reading". I tried to type the same and I ended up with "classical readng" (notice the "DNG" at the end.
It could be some bad "auto correct" implementation.
Thanks for the details folks!
We've reported this to our tech team who'll investigate further. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.
Cheers 🤘
