We miss the App Finder

Your jive about mobile being the new priority is jive. It's about money no doubt. We wish you would seriously consider bringing back the desktop apps.

We REALLY miss the App Finder. We used it all the time--especially on Tuesdays. It helped us discover new music, it was one of the main reasons I would list for people who were interested in why I was interested in Spotify. And you took it away.

Why make it harder to find new music from sources we are familiar with?

The reasoning given about mobile the app doesn't make sense, I'm sorry. Why shouldn't/can't the desktop version of Spotify be more robust?

So disappointed. So dismayed.

I miss that too and after ten years the grief was too hard, so I decided to create my own unofficial 'App Finder' by creating a Spotify profile and a podcast with the same name, and uploading episodes consisting of logo, links and descriptions of the best third party apps, and adding these to playlists in the 'App Finder' profile, to resemble some kind of simplified and modern 'Spotify Apps' functionality but use the mobile and web third party. This solution does not require any modding of the client or third party tools as it makes use of existing podcast format.
