Thanks for the info @globaltrev!
I noticed that in the video you've sent, the sort order in Your Library was set to Recents. Just to confirm, could you try setting it to Custom order instead to see if the issue would still occur?
Let us know how it goes 👍
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out.
This is quite odd, we haven't encountered anything like this so far. Could you please provide us the following:
Let us know how it goes.
Hi Joan, thanks for responding.
This problem is mainly on my Mac as far as I can tell. Unable to drag and drop or Move a playlist to a folder. VPN is turned off.
I tried re-installing Spotify... no luck. Then tried deleting Spotify cache files etc and re-installing... no luck.
Attached short video below, welcome any further ideas.
See how when I try and drag the playlist into a folder it "springs" back to it's original position??
Hey @globaltrev,
Thanks for all additional info here!
Just to confirm, does this only happen when using the app? Or do you also experience the same behavior on the Web Player?
What you could try too, if you're unable to add the playlists on the desktop app only, is Disable Hardware Acceleration and Restart. You can find it by following these steps:
1. Open the Spotify app on your Mac.
2. In the menu bar at the top of the screen, tap Help
3. Tap Troubleshooting.
4. Select Disable Hardware Acceleration and Restart.
Should the issue persist, it would be great if you could give it a try from a different internet connection. For example, you can try another WiFi connection or temporarily create a hotspot on your phone.
Keep us posted on how it goes!
Ok so new information: Disabling Hardware Acceleration and Restart had no effect.
Also, the problem exists on the Web Player as well.
And same behaviour on different internet connections.
And I can't delete playlists. It's like I can't modify my library for some reason... is there a setting or a lock on that?
Since I've already uninstalled/re-installed Spotify, not sure what to do next...
Thanks for the info @globaltrev!

ok that actually worked! But then again, it's also working now when set to Recents lol
Pretty sure I tested this, so not sure what changed... just happy it's working now.
Thanks all!
