Can't launch Spotify for Mac anymore after today's update. "You can’t open the app because PowerPC apps are no longer supported."

Hello,

First step, you need to take is full reinstall :

Here is brief guide how to do so :

MAC

1. Click Spotify in the menu bar then Quit Spotify.
2. Open Finder then click Go > Library in the menu bar. (You may need to hold the Alt key if Library isn’t visible).
3. Open Caches and delete the com.spotify.Client folder.
4. Click the back arrow.
5. Open Application Support and delete the Spotify folder.
6. Download and install Spotify! ( Using offline client )

Try reinstalling Spotify, I can access Spotify fine.

Tried uninstalling / reinstalling 20 times before coming here to post.

I am using Mac OS X 10.11 Beta (15A262e)

Try downloading an old version here -

Also, I think your problem is you're running a Beta version for Mac.

Thanks -- tried v1.0.8.59 and it worked.  Anything newer than v1.0.8.59 has the some problem.

Actually, I just tried the newest version again and it worked.  What's different this time was that I opened Spotify inside of the disk image first before dragging it out to /Applications...  Very strange....

After having tried several times to download and install and deleting spotify folders I had to restart my mac to find spotify intalled working again. Eventually even holdind at the same song where I left had left it the last time.
