move a song from one playlist to another

Solved!

move a song from one playlist to another

I would like to move all the Christmas songs from my main playlist and store them in a Christmas-songs-only playlist. Not just copy them. I want to move them from one to the other such that they are no longer on my main playlist. I see how to copy them. But there seems to be no means by which these songs can actually be moved from playlist to another.

Hey @Mike669,

Thanks for reaching out.

Although there's currently no dedicated cut/paste button in the song context menu, you can still move one or multiple tracks to a different playlist by using the keyboard shortcuts in the desktop app. To do this, just:

  1. Open the source playlist.
  2. Select the tracks using click + Cmd/Shift click.
  3. Press Cmd + X (cut).
  4. Navigate to the target playlist.
  5. Press Cmd + V (paste).

We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
