"Liked Songs" Playlist doesn't include all the tracks I've liked

My Question or Issue

I recently "liked" a bunch of tracks in a playlist. If I view an album with some of these tracks, a green heart appears next to them as expected. However, they don't appear in my "Liked Songs" playlist.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community. 

Could you let us know if this is only happening in the desktop app and you're able to see those songs on other devices in your Liked songs?

If it's only happening in your desktop app, we'd recommend reinstalling the desktop app following these specific steps. 

Additionally, we'd like to know if the same happens if you add songs to your Liked songs from a different device. 

We'll be on the lookout.

Thanks for responding. This was present on all of my devices. Subsequently some of the songs did appear in my "Liked Songs" playlist, but not all. Now I can no longer find specific songs with a heart next to them that don't appear in "Liked Songs", but I know that some songs from the original playlist didn't make it over. Unfortunately because I deleted the original playlist I can't identify which exact song these are.

Thanks for the reply.

Some releases of songs/ albums get taken down from the platform due to copyright issues and when that happens they often get removed entirely from your Library. Sometimes they get reuploaded with different metadata, which essentially makes them seem as new songs to the software. This could be one of the reason that some of your songs are missing.

On some accounts and devices, the Liked songs and Followed Artists list may stop functioning properly if you have thousands of items saved in your Library. This issue is being investigated and worked on by the folks at Spotify, however we don't have any official info on when it will be improved.
