My Question or Issue

Spotify will not work on my desktop, but worked perfectly fine last Thursday, been trying to figure it out all week. I have un-installed and reinstalled spotify at least 5 times by now. Downloaded it from the web, from the Microsoft store, and still I have the same continued issue. The song will play and then it will take roughly 6 minutes before the next song will play. It's the most irritating thing ever especially when spotify works perfectly fine on my phone. I have asked my CTO if he implemented any changes in our firewall and he said no. Twice as weird bc my coworker's spotify works perfectly fine. He even logged into his spotify on my computer. Any ideas on what may be happening and what I should do??

Hey there @alison_villa,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We understand you've already tried a reinstall of the app. We'd like you to try (if possible) a clean reinstall of the app, to see if that makes any difference. By doing that the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this issue. You can find the steps to do it here.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please share with us:

  • The exact Spotify version you're running on the affected device.
  • Does this happen on a different computer? If you have a personal computer, it'd be awesome if you could check,
  • Does this happen when playing a specific playlist? If yes, please share the link to it with us.
  • Does this happen when using the web player on the affected device?

Keep us in the loop!
