Bug: Expanding Album Art Eliminates Friend Activity

Expanding the album artwork opens the album art in the right-side panel. This causes the Friend Activity panel - normally in that spot - to completely go away. 

Even when the album art is minimized, the Friend Activity panel does not reappear.

When I click the menu, I see that "View > Friend Activity" is checked. However, the Friend Activity is not visible.

Next, I have to go to the menu and "Edit > Preferences", I find the "See what your friends are playing" checkbox disabled. When I re-enable that option, the Friend Activity reappears.

First, why are there two places in two different option areas where I select whether or not to see friend activity? This is bizarre.

Second, why does the Friend Activity panel not re-appear when I close the album artwork?

This is clearly a bug or intentionally unfriendly design.

Please fix this. I don't even like looking at album artwork now.

Thanks for reaching out. We are aware of the behaviour of the checkmark under View > Friend Activity not responding as expected. Our team are aware of this and are looking into it.

Regarding everything else we would like to clarify the behaviour of the new layout - just like there is a toggle for the album art tab by clicking the arrow in the bottom left, there is an icon next to your profile picture in the top right and clicking it will toggle the Friend Activity tab. At the moment, both of these sidebars occupy the same space so you can use these buttons to choose which of those (or neither) you would prefer to see. Still, your feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks for sharing it here.

Clicking the button with 3 people just left of your profile photo brings the "friend activity" display panel up. To bring "now playing" panel back you have to click the button that is a play button inside of a rectangle that shows up in the bottom right when playing a song. 

A single button that toggles back/forth between the views would be preferred, IMO.

So as you guys have been aware of this behaviour since over a year are you ever gonna fix it?
