Creating a desktop shortcut in Windows 11 is currently not as straightforward as expected and there are a few ways to go about it. Here are the easiest ones (in our view) depending on which version of the app you have:

For the one installed from Microsoft Store:

1. Press the Windows key + R then enter shell:appsfolder
2. Right-click-drag the Spotify app to your desktop and select Create shortcuts here.

In case you've downloaded the app from our website:

1. Press the Windows key + R then enter %appdata%
2. Open the Spotify folder
3. Right click on the Spotify application file and select More options > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut)
