Hey folks,
Thanks for getting back to us and all the info you've sent so far.
@LMercu, would you mind checking if the OS of your PC has any pending updates? Additionally, we suggest that you remove your hosts file. Head here to find out how. On another note, it looks like you're experiencing this Ongoing issue. You can add your vote by clicking on the Thumbs up icon. It'll also be useful to Subscribe via the three-dots menu in the top right corner next to the title. We'll be sure to keep you updated with any news on the matter there.
@Fif257, we suggest that you check your firewall and make sure Spotify is set as an exception. Also, disable any antivirus or ad-blocking software that you might have active on your PC to see if that makes the difference. In case the issue persists, we recommend trying with a different network, for example creating a hotspot on your phone and using that.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
i have the same exact problem, i tried a clean reinstall but it didn't work. i tried changing accounts but it also didn't work
even the web player doesn't work and the error it gives me is "an error occurred, try reloading the page"
Hey folks,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
Just to confirm, is this happening across devices or only on your PCs?
Additionally, we'd like to know if this only happens with playlists or with albums and podcasts as well.
On another note, would you mind giving a different internet connection a go to see if that makes the difference?
Lastly, would you mind letting us know if this started happening after a specific event such as an update?
We'll be on the lookout for your replies.
In my mobile it is ok.
Only the albums open, but still don't play.
With a different connection nothing.
Yes, it start wednesday: I had an old version that opened and after about 20 seconds it closed, so I downloaded the new one and it immediately gave problems.
I don't have any problems on my smartphone, i haven't tried with a different connection.
And all this problems happend in the exact same way LMercu said
Hey folks,
Thanks for your replies and for the info shared.
At the moment, it's possible to download the app from both the Microsoft Store and our Web page here. So in this case, if you install the desktop app from the web page, try to uninstall (with a clean reinstall) that version and try installing the one from the Microsoft one or vice versa.
If the above doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of the affected devices, along with the Spotify version you're running there?
Lastly, just to confirm, did you use a VPN? If yes, try switching it off.
Keep us in the loop!
I have a VPN, but it never did any damage, however I checked with its deactivation.
The OS (screenshot) is 64 bit.
Spotify version: 1.2.10.760.g52970952.
I add that my mobile can't find my pc with spotify connect.
i tried many times to install the after a clean reinstall but it never worked, i probably tried both versions (from microsoft store and spotify website) and i don't use a VPN
this is all i get from the spotify app downloaded from your web page. it does let me login though, idk if that helps
