Can't play the current song.

Songs in a playlist just stop playing at the end of a song, usually when it involves a local file and pressing pause and play does nothing. The next song only plays if you skip or manually select a song, however I shouldn't have to do this on a playlist. I can't listen to music fluently and I've checked through numerous posts dating back to 2012 and none of the solutions seem to be working efficiently. Recently moved from an iPod classic to this and it's being more of a problem than when my iPod had to be restored. 

Any solutions, this app has been around for over 4 years and this problem should not be happening.
