Can't see Sonos speakers

Can't see Sonos speakers

I'm using a Windows 10 Laptop and I have Spotify Premium. My wireless network is setup using Google WiFi. The only thing that I can consistently see when trying connect to a device are my Google Chromecast. Every so often if I get disconnected from my network or restart my machine I can see my speakers. I have no problem seeing them all the time from my Google Pixel in the Spotify App or with the desktop/mobile Sonos App. Restarting the Spotify App on the computer doesn't resolve the problem either.

Has anyone else experienced this and have a reliable fix?

Hey there @OutsidaII,

Thank you for your post here in the Community. We're happy to help.

Can you make sure you have a registered Sonos account and Spotify added as music service on your Sonos system?

If it still does not show up, double check that you have enabled ‘Control Sonos from Spotify’ in the Sonos app under settings. This is part of the “Control Sonos from Spotify” in the Sonos app. It only shows up if it is not yet enabled.

Keep us posted. We're always one reply away 🙂

Cheers!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

@Jeremy

I think I confused things

What works:

Spotify service through Sonos App on my laptop and Phone

Sonos speakers through Spotify App on my Android Phone

What doesn't work (what I'm trying to get working):

Sonos speakers through Spotify App on my Windows 10 laptop

I don't think it has anything to do with my wireless network so I'm curious if there's something about Windows 10 or the Spotify App for Windows that I need to make changes to.

Hey @OutsidaII,

Thanks for getting back to us 🙂

Can you give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall? This one is more thorough than the usual reinstall. By doing that you can make sure the app is up-to-date and the cache is not causing any issues. It's also a good idea to download the app from the Microsoft store.

If the issue persists, you can run the app as an administrator. Are there any changes?
