Crossfade simply cuts to next song instead of fading in and out

As above, noticed that spotify no longer xfades starting these few days. Crossfading now simply cuts the end of the current track and jumps to the start of the next song instead of fading in and out like it usually does. Restart does not help, any tips?

To how many seconds is the fade set to? It could be that a recent update set it to 1 or 0.

I tried the following

1. Change to max

2. Disabling crossfade

3. Change back to my default 5

I did a full shutdown before doing any of the 3 above, sadly same problem..

Im short of reinstalling spotify but if it goes it probably wont come back.

I hope the next update or something magically fixes it. 

Meanwhile its just gapless rather than fading. Kindly affects my ocd but oh well

Have you made sure that there are no files left in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify before installing it again?

Just fixed it.. now to redownload all my offline music T_T, thanks !
