Embeds stoped dissplaying themself

Embeds stoped dissplaying themself

They link looks like this now:

https://open.spotify.com/intl-de/track/6EJDyT2T7pEeLLhNRR416r?si=6dbfd334681546c4

Before this, the link for a song was without the part that says "intel-de" and since the "intel-de" part is in the copied links I can't see an embed no more when I post the songs to another website that is not Spotify. Whats wrong here?

I use windows 10 on a Acer PC and use Google-chrome but also saw this happen on Microsoft Edge browser

First it started that embeds on Discord became invisitble and I only could see the links from the embeds. Now it also happend on some more website. I can't see anything no more when someone posts embeds. They show up as soon you post them, like they should but if you return to the sended embed after a time (maybe cause you want to find the song on Spotify that was linked) than the entire thing is invisible and it won't show up and it annoys me a bit

Would be cool if you can fix this

This morning I noticed that the new web player UI also changes the URL for found tracks if you use another language than English. For example for German it adds "intl-de/" to the URL which prevents using it on Last.fm when adding Spotify playlinks to Last.fm track pages.

As the new web player has a Settings option in the dropdown menu of your avatar, you can change the language to English. Another workaround is to simply remove the location from the track URL, and it will work again as a playlink on a Last.fm track page.

The Embed-sitaution still seems to nor work 😕 can you guys please fix it?

Hey @yaquyphdwrto0erjguid

Welcome back to the community! I see that the problem mostly occurs in browser based apps. Since that is the case the first step I'd want to suggest is clearing your browser's cache.

For Chrome:

  1. At the top right, click :.
  2. Click Settings > Clear browsing data.
  3. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
  4. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
  5. Click Clear data.

For Edge:

  1. Select Settings and more  Settings  > Privacy, search, and services .

  2. Under Clear browsing data > Clear browsing data now, select Choose what to clear.

  3. Under Time range, choose a time range from the drop-down menu.

  4. Choose the types of browsing data you want to clear.

  5. Select Clear now.

Hope this helps!

@MauriceMV

IDK the embeds did work again but since 2 days they do not work at all. some thing got changed in links when I copy-paste them and that makes embeds not apear

Example:

https://open.spotify.com/intl-de/track/0vw84J4b22nAUPQ0sVWQf2?si=044b60cf385e440b

The "Intel-de" part was not part of the copied links before and cause of this I can't post embeds on other websites no more. Can anyone pls fix this cause that annoys me

Day 4 and Embeds still don't work on my end... what did I do wrong that copy-paste dosn't work for me no more? I just want to send the links to people with Embed and can't

I checked in again, if the embeds still don't work or if they might work now and nope, embeds still do not show up

The issue with sending embeds still exists. Why isn't it fixed now? I try to copy a song, send it to people, nothing shows up ... pls fix it

Today the embeds still don't work

Please help me and enable embeds again!

I wait for a few days now and it still dosn't work

Still dosn't work

Did you do it on purpose that we have no embeds anymore or what?

I try to send links to test it to people to see if the embeds are back and nope nothing happens

It's annoying how this issue is ongoing for almost a week now and you guys didn't repaired it yet

Hey @yaquyphdwrto0erjguid,

Thanks for getting back to us. Jumping in here on behalf of @MauriceMV.

Could you please provide a few more examples?

We'd also need to know the exact Spotify version you're currently running on your PC. If you don't know how to check it - go to this FAQ.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hey @yaquyphdwrto0erjguid,

Thanks for reaching out.

Can you give us a bit more info about your issue? Do you mean you're not seeing song previews? Where are you sending the links (what app)?

Please note that to generate an embed link, you need to select Share - Embed track on a desktop device.

Keep us posted.

Its all websites

I can send it to any website that allowed showing the links as embeds and non showd up

I use windows 10, app - does not work

I use windows 10, website - does not work

I use my phone's app on android 12 - does not work

All links have the annoying "intl-de" part in it and so cannot be displayed. I have friends who want the displayed link in order to see what they may get from me before going on Spotify since they can be very picky with music and also for people who arn't my friends but may see my messages in a chatroom after some hours it is also annoying if they do not see what link I droped and talked about

Thats the issue here. It just shows me nothing at all and therefore I am unable to talk abut music on almost all website where I was able to send embeds before

Would be great if the "intl-de" just gets ereased from you guys so I can send the links normaly again

I have the newest version of Spotify

You guys are the technicians who could just please erease the "intl-de" off of the links for me ... IDK how it even came there. It was there oneday and is not going away. I tried every way possible on how to copy a link and no the "intl-de" is still there, IDK what to do at this point cause as I stated before, this was never there when I copied the link. I can do it an whatever device and everywhere the same. I slowly think I go crazy for not knowing why it is in the link and not going away

I just want to be able to send the normal embed again with a 30 second sound in it and thats it. I am not asking for much, jut that your embeds work as they should

Test:

https://open.spotify.com/intl-de/track/7aq8t9D82PJuqH7TFT4W6O?si=008c686b691a404d

Weird. It still shows me the same issue.

I cannot properly display the link on forums or Discord, because the "intl-de" is still in the copied link

I can copy whatever link I want and this issue seems to not go away.

Would be cool if finally someone can come up with a solution against this cause I have zero patients to wait that it fixes itself

Pls someone of the IT-people from Spotify help me !

Hey @yaquyphdwrto0erjguid,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the details you included.

Since this could be related to a network or a VPN restriction, would you mind trying with a different internet connection to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can use a mobile data hotspot to test it on.

Also, in case you're using a VPN, turn it off, restart the app and try again.

Lastly, in order to continue investigating this issue, we need to know the exact Spotify version you're currently running to check it this could be related to an outdated version of the app. We'd recommend following the steps mentioned in this thread to know the exact version.

Hope this helps. We'll be on the lookout.

I tried everything now and it still dosn't change

what else am I suposed to do at this point when nothing works?

IDK what version your website has tho, since I mainly use the website btw

but the app is:

1.2.10.760.g52970952

I described a workaround in my posting to set the new web player to English instead of German, then the embed link will work again without having "intl-de" in the URL. Or you can manually delete that part before sharing it with others.

Hans-jürgen's idea is good but it sucks that this just happend to be there in the link like why did you guys ad it here? Anyone of Spotify's team please tell me what was your idea for doing so? I don't get it.

I mean the links worked fine and now don't do anymore and its odd
