Genre filtered songs on Mobile Android do not play on Desktop Windows

My Question or Issue

The connect device functionality allows me to control Spotify on my windows laptop from my android mobile device. However, if I use the genre filter in my liked songs from my android mobile and attempt to play a song through the laptop it bombs out. No error message but both apps freeze and have to be restarted.

Thanks for reaching out.

This may sound obvious, but have you tried reinstalling the app on both devices? Also, make sure that the app on your phone is not being optimized by any memory- or battery-managing services.
